ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mae Andrews is an upstate New York native now living in the Mid-Atlantic region. Currently, she is transitioning towards her third life as an author, a long-held childhood dream. She holds a degree in English with a minor in Women's and Minorities Studies-an education that continues to shape her perspective and writing.
A single mother to an amazing son, Mae spends much of her time balancing work and home with life on the sidelines of sports fields and gyms. In her spare moments, Mae can be found listening to podcasts, watching YouTube, going for walks, prioritizing the important people in her life, and snuggling with her cat.
A slice-of-life, character‑driven, multi-vignette following six women across years as they navigate family, sex, work, survival, and the long process of rebuilding.
Meet Sylvia, Beth, Amira, Cassandra, Rita, and Annie — women facing messy, real decisions across decades. Their flawed, fierce journeys examine consent, power, and the small acts that remake a life. This is a book that refuses tidy resolutions. It asks: can women learn to choose without apologies? And if the world demands compromise, how do you keep enough of yourself to rebuild?
Follow women who document abuse, open secret bank accounts, and ask for what they want.
